National Environment Centre organic farm tour
When: THIS Sat20th August, 10am – 12pm
Where: Ettamogah Road, Thurgoona NSW
Cost: Free
The National Environment Centre, which is part of TAFE NSW, will be holding a tour of their 200ha organic farm. The farm, which is run by students undertaking courses in organic production and permaculture, produces organic vegetables and herbs, organic lamb and pork, paddock-based chickens and eggs, organic olives and honey.

Violet Town Eco Tour
When: THIS Sunday 21st August, 11am 3pm
Where: Meet at Violet Town Community Complex, 37 Cowslip St, Violet Town
Cost: Free
Come for a walking tour of Violet Town sustainability initiatives with local permaculture designer and teacher David Arnold, and see how much even a small rural community can achieve in just a few years. Visit the energy efficiency retrofit of the community buildings, a volunteer-driven creek restoration project, two energy efficient houses, the Violet Town Community Forest, and Murrnong Permaculture Farm.

Wodonga Sustainability Fair

Where: La Trobe University, Wodonga
Cost: Free
The 4th Wodonga Sustainbility Fair retains its orientation towards sustainable living and related practices that preserve resources and reduce the negative impact on our environment.
2010 saw thirty-four organisations display a variety of sustainable products and services and the day attracted over 1000 visitors.
