Landcare and community groups are encouraged to nominate individuals for the 2011 North East Landcare Service Awards. Nominations are open now, close 17th June.
Nominate your local heroes – deadline extended until 22 July
Are there any individuals or groups in your community that you think deserve to be awarded for the positive difference they make to the environment? This year, to mark the 25th Anniversary of Landcare in Victoria, we will take nominations for a Victorian Landcare Honour Roll. This is a one-off opportunity for groups to acknowledge the work of their longest serving and most committed members.
Landcare Policy Information Gathering – online survey now available
The Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) is conducting an information gathering project as the first phase in developing a revised Landcare policy statement to replace the Victorian Action Plan for Second Generation Landcare (2002-2012). Survey Closes 1st July.
Community Action Grants 2011-12 Open
Community groups around Australia can now apply for grants of between $5000 and $20 000 to help protect and conserve their local environment and natural resources. Applications close Monday 1st August 2011.

Wetland Fact Sheets now available
Through the delivery of the Lower Ovens Floodplain Wetlands project and in partnership with DPI, TFN, PV and DSE, the CMA has recently developed two Wetland Fact Sheets.
