Community Comment Sought for Draft Upper Ovens Water Management Plan

The Upper Ovens River Water Supply Protection Area (WSPA) Consultative Committee is seeking community comment on its ground breaking Water Management Plan (WMP). The draft plan proposes management arrangements for groundwater and surface water licences in the Upper Ovens River WSPA and is the first to incorporate both types of water resources in the same plan.

Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act – SAC recommendations

These nominations for listing under the Victorian FFG Act are all directly pertinent to the North East and include:

  • Granite Foothills Spring Wetland (EVC – Spring-soak Woodland-Herbland)
  • Feral Horses, as a potentially threatening process (PTP)
  • Noisy Miners, PTP

The public submission period for these recommendations closes on Friday 22 April.
