On Tuesday the 2nd August the Alpine Shire accepted the recommendation put forward to appoint Hofbuild Pty Ltd from Bright as the contractor for the refurbishment of the hall. They also appointed McPherson Earthmoving Contractors Pty Ltd for he construction of the car park.
Work commenced on Wednesday the 24th with a security fence erected around the hall. On Friday the 26th, the builders were hard at work gutting the building. The kitchen, toilets, bench seating around the walls and the stage have now been removed.
Thank you, to everyone who assisted at a recent working bee to relocate the shed, making way for the new hall extension.
The hall will be temporarily closed until the refurbishment is complete. The Alpine Shire, overseeing the project, is aiming for completion in time for Christmas.
On the 21st July, the Hall Committee held its Tri-Annual AGM at which a new Committee of Management was elected for a period of 3 years.
