Plant Propagation Workshop

20 Jun 2009

This is one way that Mudgegonga residents can begin to replace gardens and plants lost in the fires.  Plants are costly and propagating your own is a wonderful skill to learn and apply again further down the track.  It will also be enjoyable.

If these workshops are well attended/well received there is the option of further workshops in the spring - the same again or more advanced/specific.

It is hoped that this course will engage some participants who may then want to continue in other aspects of horticulture.  There are opportunities for some fully funded places at Wodonga TAFE which we can discuss further on the day.

Participants are welcome to take home the plants they have propagated on the day however Wodonga TAFE has made some space available in the campus hot houses where your plants will be cared for and monitored.  You may choose to take some home and leave some for care with the TAFE.  Either way your plants will be labelled and you will be able to collect them at a distribution day planned later this year or early 2010.
